The new East Loop is a residential section within the Loop neighborhood of Chicago that came in to existence with the opening of Millennium Park in 2004. This area was envisioned as a cultural residential neighborhood of Chicago having Millennium Park as it’s front yard. It’s boundaries are Michigan Avenue to the East and State Street to the West, Randolph Street to the North and Van Buren to the South. The neighborhood enjoys every subway and El transportation line that comes in and out of the Loop which connects it to every area of Chicago including 2 International airports: Midway Airport on the Orange Line and O’Hare International Airport on the Blue Line. In addition, easy access to Lake Shore Dr, 90/94, and 290. It’s cultural hotspot designation comes from having all Broadway in Chicago Theatres, The Joffrey Ballet, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Chicago Yacht Club, The University Club of Chicago, The Chicago Cultural Center, and The Chicago Symphony, and Pritzker Pavilion in walking distance.
